Top tips for getting bums on seats!
We love it when a good marketing plan comes together – especially when it’s one of our own!
We staged a free social media event to show businesses how to use social media and why they should be using it – and we were massively over-subscribed.
We set ourselves a target of getting 30 people there and ended up with 48.
We’ll share the marketing secrets behind how we did it – and how you could do it, too.
- We created an invite which we knew would grab people’s attention; we told them why they should be at our event and what they should get out of it. Always tell your audience what’s in it for them.
- We used our e-shot email marketing programme to create a tailored, personal invite and sent it to all the 1900 business contacts on our database, two weeks before the event date. The personal touch goes a long way to getting your target’s interest and keeping it.
- We sent a second invite to our contacts one week before the event date again telling them what they would get out of attending the event. Always repeat your marketing messages consistently and constantly.
- We sent a final reminder out a week before the event to our contacts reminding them that the event was an opportunity not to be missed. Try to create an exclusivity angle around your product.
